Our Score

The Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball is made from stainless steel and is rust and puncture-proof.

As well as being a very tough Yeti cup, the Lowball has the same double-wall vacuum insulation as its larger Rambler siblings.

The addition of a mag slider lid now means you can keep your drinks contained while on the move. This lid also adds even more insulation power to the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball.

It’s smaller than other Rambler models so it’s perfect if you like more compact gear that still has the same benefits as larger, more expensive gear.

How to use the Yeti Rambler Lowball

Like all of the tumblers and mugs in the Yeti Rambler range, the Lowball is over-engineered but extremely easy to use.

Simply pour in your hot drink or pre-chill it before adding your cold drink and it can keep your hot and cold stuff at just the right temperature for as long as you need it to.

As the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball is smaller than the other Rambler models, it is best suited as a reusable cup that can hold multiple drinks throughout the day.

You can use it for your morning coffee, then a cup for your ice cold drinks throughout the day before settling down and using it for your evening whiskey to bring your day of adventure to a close.

Its small size also makes it an ideal everyday cup for use at home or at work.

Construction and design

Made from 18/8 kitchen-grade stainless steel, this is one very tough and durable cup.

It is quite chunky measuring in at 4 1/8” × 3 1/2” with an empty weight of 9.5 oz.

While its design and construction make the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball ideal for taking out into the wild, it can be quite cumbersome to hold.

If you like to take your morning coffee with you in the car, you might struggle to squeeze the Lowball into your car’s cup holder too.

However, Yeti design and make their products to be strong, durable, long-lasting, and able to perform exactly how it should no matter what environment it is in. The Lowball certainly meets that criteria so it could be well worth the sacrifice of being too big for car cup holders!

Lid

There are quite a few people who have been using the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball and do not like the standard lid it comes with.

The standard lid does not seal so reduces the insulating power of the Lowball slightly. Something else to bear in mind with the standard lid is that, as it doesn’t seal, i.e. the drinking hole is always open, it is not ideal for highly active people who might be moving around quite quickly or over rough terrain with a coffee in hand.

Yeti have listened to this feedback and you can now purchase the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball with Yeti’s famous magslider lid.

The magslider lid is common throughout the rambler range and adds another layer of protection between your drink and the outside world.

It also adds some protection from spillages although it is important to note that even the magslider lid is not leak-proof!

Specifications

As previously mentioned, the empty Lowball weighs in at 9.5 oz and measures 4 1/8” tall and 3 1/2” wide.

Performance with hot drinks and cold drinks

When it comes to hot drinks, when used with the magslider lid, this Yeti mug can keep your morning coffee warm pretty much all day.

With the standard lid, you can expect a few hours of hot coffee before the opening in the lid starts to have an effect on the temperature.

As with all Yeti Ramblers, the Lowball has very impressive ice retaining levels. This means that if you pre-chill your Lowball before pouring your cold drink into it, you will have a refreshing drink ready and waiting for you all day.

Dishwasher safe?

The Yeti Rambler Lowball is completely dishwasher safe.

This is a nice perk as it means you can easily clean both the mug and the lid with very little effort.

If you don’t have access to a dishwasher, you can find out other ways of cleaning your Rambler in the FAQ section of Yeti’s website.

Final thoughts on the Yeti Rambler Lowball

The Yeti Rambler Lowball is a very impressive insulated mug.

It may be small in size but it is packed with all of the features the larger Rambler models have so you certainly aren’t missing out.

Yeti also includes a five-year warranty which is always a welcome bonus!

The Yeti Rambler 10 oz Lowball keeps your coffee hot and your cold drinks cold whether you are out in the wild, at home, or in the office. It fits into your life and your kit with ease and we love it just as much as we love the entire Yeti Rambler range.
