Georgia is home to some great bass fishing as well as panfish species.

While it is not as famous as a trout fishing destination, there is nonetheless some great trout streams in the Peach State.

The beautiful mountain streams of North Georgia offer anglers a unique and breathtaking trout fishing experience. Here, you can find brown trout, rainbow trout, and Georgia’s state fish, the Brook trout. Spring and fall are prime trout fishing seasons.

For those who prefer the challenge of catfishing, Georgia’s rivers and lakes have plenty to offer. With flathead, blue, and channel catfish available in many waterways, this adds another dimension to the fishing on offer.

Then there is Georgia’s extensive coastal waters, which are noted for their redfish and spotted seatrout populations as well as fishing for offshore pelagic species.
