Farm work isn’t just for guys. On this farm, women are doing most of the hard work and having fun and looking great doing it.
Check out some of our pictures of some lovely ladies helping out on the farm.
They’re looking after lambs and calves and feeding chickens as well as driving tractors and ploughing fields and looking damn good doing it.

Somes we get a bit of time off and get to have a walk through the lavender fields.
The smell out here is so sweet and I really love heading up to the lavender patch with the girls.
I’m walking slowly down a narrow path through rows of blooming lavender. I let my hand drift across the flowers as I glance back toward the camera.
The other girls follow just behind me, laughing and relaxed. Everything feels quiet and warm in the open countryside.

Lambing season is my fave time of the year. The young lambs are so cute and their wool is so soft.
A few hours spent playing with the lambs is one of the best things you can do on the farm and I love it.
I’m sitting on a bale of hay inside the barn with two lambs resting beside me. I lightly hold the edge of my top while looking toward the camera.
The lambs stay close and calm against the straw. The barn feels peaceful with soft light filtering through the wood.

Chickens are all over the place on the farm and here in the barn you can always find the running around.
I love the chickens and when they are laying well – which is most of the time – they lay the most beautiful eggs.
I’m perched on a hay bale inside the barn while chickens move around my feet. I lean forward slightly, holding my top straps in my hands.
The chickens wander nearby, completely unbothered. It feels like a quiet pause in the middle of a normal farm day.

Heading into town in the truck is great fun after a hard days’s work. We like to get cleaned up and look our best when we finish work and head into the bar to let off some steam.
Would you like to come and join us at the bar?

Feeding out hay can be tough job, but the animals need it for food and a place to rest.
These cows sure were hungry and they loved it when I brought them some nice clean hay to eat.
At the moment we are feeding them every second day.

We wouldn’t get much done out here without the tractor.
We love driving the tractor and using it to get our chores done much quicker.
This one has been a good loyal device to save labor on the farm.
We’re sitting together on the tractor, balanced comfortably on the metal frame. We face forward, relaxed and steady. The open field and cattle stretch out behind us. It feels like a shared moment on the farm.

Cows are always hungry.
We need to make sure that we keep feeding them hay at certain times of year.
I’m walking through the barn carrying a long-handled tool in my hand.
Hay is stacked high beside me, and cattle stand behind the fencing.
My steps are easy and unhurried. It feels like part of my daily routine.

Sitting on the tractor in the sun is a great way to take five and gather your thoughts during a long day.
This is my favorite spot for a bit of day dreaming.
I’m sitting on the front of a red tractor out in the field.
My legs rest comfortably on either side as I look ahead. Cattle graze quietly in the distance. The moment feels calm and unforced.

It hasn’t rained for a while out here so we need to give the cattle a bit of water.
Sometimes that means carrying it out in buckets.
This is hard work!
I’m standing in the grass holding a metal bucket at my side. The cattle gather behind me, filling the field.
I plant my feet firmly and face forward.
It feels like I’m right in the middle of farm work.

I went out to feed the lambs and had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction.
Oops.
I will remember to be much better dressed for this job next time.
I’m sitting wide on a hay bale inside the barn, settled comfortably into the straw. One hand rests on my thigh while the other holds my top.
A lamb stands close beside me, brushing against the hay. It feels quiet and still inside the barn.

I know this top wasn’t the best choice for farm work,
But hey, I think I look good in it, so I thought I’d try it out.
I’m sitting comfortably on stacked hay inside the barn, smiling toward the camera. A chicken stands close beside me in the straw.
I rest my weight into the hay with one knee bent. The barn feels warm and familiar around me.

I hope you’ve enjoyed some thoughts from us here on the farm.
