As always, Yeti has designed the Rambler One Gallon Jug to be a very tough and durable vessel for carrying your hot and cold drinks.
Looks wise, it has a simple and no-frills appearance.
It is available in a small range of colors including stainless steel, navy, and black.
A very clever (and very useful) feature that the One Gallon Jug has is its MagCap. The magnetic cap of the jug not only allows you to drink freely and comfortably without worrying about spillages, but it also attaches to the built-in slot/docking station so you never have to be concerned with misplacing the lid.
Yeti has designed the Rambler Jug to be completely leakproof which comes in extra handy if you are traveling on rough terrain and it gets thrown around in your bag or car.
Not only is it leakproof but it has also been designed to keep condensation and moisture away from the external surfaces of the jug. This prevents any moisture from forming and damaging other kits or surfaces the One Gallon Jug comes into contact with.
Specifications and Capacity
The Yeti Rambler One Gallon Jug is obviously a fairly large water jug.
It measures 15” × 6 3/8″ and weighs around 73 ounces when it is empty.
Unless you have a spacious kit bag, you might struggle to keep the jug with the rest of your kit. However, the handle on the lid of the jug makes things pretty simple when carrying it over short distances.

You might struggle to find another jug that can keep your water and ice cold longer than the One Gallon Jug can. Its double-wall vacuum insulation holds the internal temperature extremely well and the tight seal of the lid adds an extra layer of protection from the hot or cold air outside.

This is a good point to mention the price of the Rambler One Gallon Jug – it’s $130 so is by no means a cheap addition to your outdoor gear.
The five-year warranty definitely helps in treating your purchase as an investment though as you can be confident that it will be at least five years before you have to pay out any money to replace or fix it (as long as you use it correctly and follow Yeti’s care instructions!)
